Scope: Analysis of proposed tower crane grillage
Onyx Structural Ltd were appointed to undertake an analysis of a proposed steel grillage to be used aloft an existing RC core in central London which would support the base of a proposed tower crane to be used as part of the building refurbishment.
Onyx Structural Ltd carried out an analysis of the proposed grillage using the manufacturer loadings as well as an analysis of the existing RC core beneath the grillage to ensure full structural stability down to foundation level.
